1. Scope and legal framework

This policy applies to personal information collected when you visit daillac.com, contact us, request a quote, submit a staffing request or use our online services.

Daillac Limitée handles this information in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as modernized by Law 25, and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act where applicable.

2. Privacy Officer

Daillac Limitée’s Privacy Officer is Julien Thomas de Cardaillac, President. He oversees this policy and handles access, correction and consent-withdrawal requests as well as privacy complaints.

3. Information we collect

Contact and service requests: first and last name, email address, telephone number, company, role, requested service, goals, budget, timeline, preferred communication channel, availability and message content.

Recruitment and staffing: contact details, company, requested resource or profile type, indicative budget or salary and any details included in the request. Please do not place unnecessary sensitive information in a free-text field.

Technical and security data: IP address, date and time, requested route and information required to prevent abuse, apply rate limits and maintain site security. We also retain evidence of your cookie choice, namely the selected category and timestamp.

Audience measurement, only after consent: pages viewed, interactions, visit source, browser and device information, approximate region and technical identifiers generated by tags authorized in Google Tag Manager. The exact data depends on the tags published in the container and must remain limited to the accepted purpose.

We collect this information directly from you unless another source is permitted by law. Required fields are identified in the forms; without them, we may be unable to respond.

4. Why we use it

We use information to answer requests, prepare proposals, communicate with you, provide and improve services, process staffing requests, administer our relationship, protect the site, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations. If you accept audience measurement, we also use it to understand traffic and improve the site experience.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use form submissions for commercial messages without separate consent where consent is required.

5. Consent and withdrawal

We seek clear, free and informed consent for specific purposes unless the law permits or requires processing without consent. Express consent will be obtained before collecting or using sensitive information where required.

You may withdraw consent prospectively by emailing info@daillac.com. Withdrawal may limit our ability to answer a request or provide a service. Certain uses may continue where permitted or required by law.

6. Service providers and other disclosures

Access is limited to authorized Daillac personnel and providers who need it for their mandate, including hosting, database and security services, as well as Twilio SendGrid when transactional email delivery is enabled. When you accept audience measurement, Google Tag Manager and measurement tags authorized in the container may also process technical data. Providers must protect information and limit its use to authorized purposes.

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order or a competent authority, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a reorganization, merger or sale subject to appropriate safeguards.

7. Processing outside Quebec

Some technology providers, including hosting or email delivery providers, may process information outside Quebec or Canada, where it can be subject to local laws.

Before disclosing information outside Quebec, Daillac assesses the factors required by law and applies appropriate contractual, organizational and technical safeguards.

8. Retention and disposal

We keep information only as long as needed for the stated purposes, the business relationship and applicable legal, tax, contractual or evidentiary requirements. The period varies with the nature of the record.

At the end of the applicable period, information is securely destroyed or anonymized in accordance with law. Backups are deleted through their normal cycle and remain protected until erased.

9. Safeguards and incidents

Daillac uses administrative, technical and physical measures proportionate to sensitivity, including access controls, least privilege, encryption in transit, monitoring and secure development practices. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Privacy incidents are assessed and documented. Where an incident creates a risk of serious injury, Daillac notifies the Commission d’accès à l’information and affected individuals as required by law.

10. Cookies, profiling and automated decisions

The site uses the essential cookies described in our Cookie Policy. Google Tag Manager and optional audience measurement tags remain blocked until your explicit choice. Advertising permissions remain denied without separate marketing consent.

The site currently makes no solely automated decision with significant effects and does not activate advertising profiling, identification or location functions. This policy and the consent interface will be updated before such technology is enabled.

11. Your rights

Subject to legal exceptions, you may request access, correction, deletion where applicable, withdrawal of consent and, in the cases provided by law, disclosure of computerized information in a structured, commonly used technological format.

Send a written request to info@daillac.com. We may verify your identity. We will respond within the prescribed period, and any refusal will state the reasons and available recourse.

You may also complain to the Privacy Officer, Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information or, where federal law applies, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. An accessible version of this policy is available on request.

12. Minors, third-party sites and changes

Our services are business-oriented and are not intended for children under 14. We do not knowingly collect their information without the required consent.

Third-party sites linked from daillac.com have their own policies. Daillac is not responsible for their practices. We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or law; the updated date and, when required, an appropriate notice will appear here.
