What is Human-in-the-loop? Definition and explanations

Human-in-the-loop validation inserts a checkpoint by a person into an automated process, before a decision takes effect. You place it where error is costly or legally binding: a payment, a refusal, a publication, a diagnosis. To be real, it requires that the reviewer sees the evidence behind the proposal and can reject it without friction.
