What is Qualified lead? Definition and explanations

A qualified lead is a contact verified as matching the target and holding a real need: right sector, right size, decision-making role, identified timeline. A marketing qualified lead (MQL) is retained on interest signals; a sales qualified lead (SQL) is accepted after a conversation. The definition has to be written down and shared, otherwise the numbers mean nothing.
