The November 6, 2026 Gemini Enterprise release notes clarify that Gemini Code Assist entitlements bundled with existing Standard and Plus subscriptions end on March 31, 2027. New subscriptions have already excluded that entitlement since October 9, 2026. For a small business, the purchase date is therefore something to check before promising the same developer tools to everyone on the team.

Separate entitlement dates from feature status

Google limits the relevant Code Assist support to the Gemini 3.x family through that deadline and identifies Antigravity, included in Gemini Enterprise editions, as a transition path. The Code Assist subscription page supplements the announcement. This is an entitlement and lifecycle change to examine against the actual subscription.
The same release notes contain separate updates: an Adobe connector in Public Preview, model restrictions based on location policies and changes to Gemini Notebook Enterprise addresses. Notebook path deployment varies by region; hostname changes are announced from November 16. These statuses do not apply uniformly to every feature mentioned that day.

What the team can prepare

Start by recording subscriptions and actual usage. A team buying access now and a team equipped earlier may have different entitlements. Ask the account owner to confirm applicable conditions, then assign responsibility for the transition. That check helps prevent a web application maintenance plan from depending on an inaccurately documented future tool entitlement.
Next, select a representative development task and acceptance criteria covering repository access, review rules, secrets and the ability to complete a correction. Compare outcomes in the company’s environment. An announced transition schedule does not demonstrate automatic functional equivalence or a measured improvement in productivity. Keep unresolved differences visible to the person deciding when to change tools.
For Notebook, have the network owner review allowlists. If the service supports an internal knowledge base, identify saved links and support instructions that may need attention. A browser redirect does not establish that every network control permits the new destination or that the organization’s documented access path still works.
A reasonable next step is a transition record listing affected access, deadlines and a limited trial. Where developer tools support process automation, check those dependencies separately. Retain the verification results before changing the whole team’s working practices, and distinguish supplier deadlines from the completion date chosen by your own organization.
