A design that started on the big screen

Most of your visitors are on a phone. Your site was designed on a wide screen.
A site that "adapts" is not a site designed for mobile. Shrinking a layout built for a 27-inch screen produces tiny text, buttons too close together and endless forms. Yet most first visits now happen on a phone — often on the move, one-handed, on an average network.
When the mockup is made for desktop and then "adapted", mobile inherits the compromises. Starting from mobile keeps the essentials and enriches afterwards: the result is better on both.
A finger is not a cursor. Below roughly 44 pixels a target becomes hard to hit reliably — and two targets side by side produce constant mis-taps.
Twelve fields on a phone, no keyboard matched to the data type, no saving as you go: abandonment is guaranteed, especially if one error means starting over.
The conversion gap between mobile and desktop is the first number to look at. When it is wide, it is not that your mobile visitors are less interested: the journey is discouraging them. And since Google indexes the mobile version of your site, a poor mobile experience also weighs on your overall ranking.

Larger tap targets, text readable without zooming, horizontal overflow removed. These are quick fixes with immediate effect.
We drop non-essential fields, trigger the right keyboard per data type, and save input as it is typed so one error does not lose everything.
For the pages that really matter, we redo the design starting from the small screen, then enrich toward the large one.
