Google announces Agent Compute Engine, with preview access to follow

The Google Cloud announcement describes hardware-isolated microVMs for agent workloads, with pause and resume capabilities. Google also describes persistent workspaces. These are the supplier's announced characteristics. We have performed no product test or performance comparison, and the announcement should not be read as independent evidence of operational results.

Treat the timetable as a project dependency. A pilot start date, budget or customer commitment should not assume availability that the provider has not confirmed for your account and region. Request access conditions and contractual status before selecting the service as part of a production architecture. Record what still needs confirmation with the person responsible for the decision.

Choose one workflow and write down its pause, recovery and abandonment conditions. Add the evidence required after an interruption, information that must be retained and the person who handles incidents. That preparation gives infrastructure options a concrete scenario to demonstrate instead of leaving the comparison at the feature list.
