What is LCP? Definition and explanations

LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) measures the time before the largest visible element of the page is displayed — often a banner image, a video or a block of text. It is one of Google's three Core Web Vitals. The threshold considered good is 2.5 seconds or less, assessed at the 75th percentile of real visits.
