The user interface is the visible, manipulable part of a digital product: screens, wording, buttons, forms, icons, visual feedback. It translates functions into understandable gestures. It differs from user experience, which covers the whole lived journey, including what happens off screen. A beautiful interface laid over a poorly thought-out journey saves nothing.
